August 30, 2012- With only a week before the famed music group Duran Duran completes its All You Need is Now, two-year world tour, it has had to cancel the remaining U.S. shows on the North American leg that concludes the tour. The shows in the U.S. were cancelled because Nick Rhodes, the group’s keyboardist, to too sick to perform.

Four shows were already canceled earlier in Atlantic City, Chicago, Kettering and Pittsburgh. Following that, members of the band announced they would have to regrettably cancel two others that were scheduled for Canada as well. The two in Canada were to be performed on Friday August 31 and Saturday September 1 in Ontario.

Rhodes has not been well for more than week and his doctors advised him that he cannot perform yet due to experiencing the same symptoms he has the past week that have prevented him from performing on stage.

Band members said they were devastated by having to cancel the tour events since it disappointed their fans. The tour, said band members, has been very successful. They praised Rhodes for holding out as long as he could and they hoped he would have recovered enough to perform during the last shows of the tour.

All people with tickets for the shows can apply to receive refunds where the tickets were purchased.
